We've been sponsoring the codeworks westend ladies since November 2010, the club comprises 2 teams under the same name "codeworks westend ladies", Team A are currently top of the Cardiff and Bridgend league with very few losses. The B team are doing just as well with a number of wins behind them and getting better week on week.
We're thrilled we're able to help such a great group of girls who have so much passion and determination every week, they motivate themselves to train every week and play 2 games most weekends, it's certainly paying off and we're very proud to have the opportunity to sponsor them!
If you're interested in joining the team get in touch with us, email netball@codeworks.org.uk

The team formed back in 2008 between a group of friends who decided to pass the word around that they're starting a netball team. On the first night more than 30 people came together to discuss and start practising how they'd play.
Months passed and the numbers fell to a collection of girls who were dedicated enough to practise every week and start preparing for competitions. Before this happened though they needed to find a way to pay for Kit, Equipment, Hire of the hall and much more. The team organised fundraising and sponsored events to collect funds from friends and family, they also put in a fair amount of money on a weekly basis out of their own pocket.
As time progressed the team realised they needed a coach in order to focus their skills and bring them up to speed with the other teams they'd be playing against within tournaments. A friend of the team introduced Leigh-Anne Jones (also known as lil) who couldn't have been more excited to take on the challenge as well as play as part of the team during games. Leigh-Anne is very dedicated and has always had a passion for netball which suited the team perfectly.
The team trained for a year before entering their first competition back in 2010 and managed to come 5th in The Barry League which is a fantastic achievement for their first set of games.
They continued to train after the league, to improve skills and continue to fundraise. They could tell people were getting tired of being asked to donate to the same cause and tried to think of a better solution to raise funds for the team. That's when Jenna Heffernan who works for Folio Typographics and works closely with us (codeworks) decided to ask about sponsorship.
We were delighted to have the opportunity to help the team and we jumped at the chance of sponsoring a progressively winning team!
